Nevertheless I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went from there to a region near the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there remained with his disciples.

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, so that darkness does not come upon you: for he who walks in darkness does not know where he goes.

Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went around doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

For those who dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know him, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
