Then said one to him, Lord, are there few that are saved? And he said to them,

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few are chosen.

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Because the gate is not wide, and the way is not broad, that leads to life, and few there are who find it.

And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Strive to enter in at the narrow gate: for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
