And the LORD said to Satan, Where do you come from? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

​O God, you are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

For they do not sleep, unless they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause someone to fall.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon your children, and my blessing upon your offspring:

There is no peace, says the LORD, for the wicked.

And he pleaded with him earnestly that he would not send them away out of the country.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying to him, You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

And when he comes, he finds it swept and decorated.

In which in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walks around, seeking whom he may devour:
