And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to your word. And the angel departed from her.

O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.

Establish your word to your servant, who is devoted to your fear.

For with God nothing shall be impossible.

And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah;

For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
