And blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that you shall give me I will surely give the tenth to you.

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that you shall give the fifth part to Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for those of your households, and for food for your little ones.

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which did not become Pharaoh’s.

And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the first fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that served.

Then brought all Judah the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the treasuries.

And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where formerly they laid the food offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the grain, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the gatekeepers; and the offerings of the priests.

None dedicated to destruction, which shall be dedicated of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

And if a man will at all redeem anything of his tithes, he shall add to it the fifth part thereof.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all kinds of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

They shall have like portions to eat, besides that which comes of the sale of his inheritance.

When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of your increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled;
