No food offering, which you shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for you shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
And you shall receive them from their hands, and burn them on the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savor before the LORD: it is an offering made by fire to the LORD.
But he shall wash the innards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD.
And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire has consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, to the extent that that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples first of all, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
And be careful of yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with gluttony, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
