And Hezekiah spoke kindly to all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
Then they said, Come, and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
The priests did not say, Where is the LORD? and those who handle the law did not know me: the shepherds also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
And you shall do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall tell you; and you shall observe to do according to all that they inform you:
According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do: you shall not turn aside from the sentence which they shall make known to you, to the right hand, nor to the left.
Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
