And it came to pass, when the LORD was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:

But do not seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and do not pass over to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.

And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.

And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Do not hold back your hand from your servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and came out at En-rogel:

And you went over Jordan, and came to Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.

And it came to pass, when the priests that carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up to the dry land, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and flowed over all its banks, as they did before.

And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.

And the LORD said to Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you. Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal until this day.

And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said to him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make an alliance with us.

And you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down to you, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shall you wait, till I come to you, and make known to you what you shall do.

And Samuel said, As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women. And Samuel cut Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
