That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, ceased, and were cut off: and the people passed over opposite Jericho.

All these were joined together in the valley of Siddim, which is the salt sea.

But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as a heap, and the depths were made firm in the heart of the sea.

Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die of thirst.

Then he said to me, These waters flow out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers: Bashan is exhausted, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon droops.

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was your anger against the rivers? was your wrath against the sea, that you rode upon your horses and your chariots of salvation?

Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the border of Edom, and your south border shall be the outermost coast of the salt sea eastward:

These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel on this side the of the Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain before the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdoth-pisgah eastward.

And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and to the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth-jeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdoth-pisgah:

And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looks southward:

And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that carry the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand up in a heap.

Then you shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of the Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we had passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.

And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the army: and the army fled to Beth-shittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abel-meholah, to Tabbath.
