Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel struck down, and possessed their land on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon to mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

And gave their land for a heritage: for his mercy endures for ever:

The north and the south you have created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.

For it shall be that as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of the Arnon.

From there they removed, and pitched on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the territory of the Amorites: for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

And Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,

And Israel struck him down with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, even to the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side of the Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.

We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side of the Jordan may be ours.

And Moses gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the territory, even the cities of the country round about.

Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.

Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

On this side of the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck down, after they had come forth out of Egypt:

From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even to mount Zion, which is Hermon,

Until the LORD has given your brethren rest, as he has given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God gives them: then you shall return to the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrising.

Even from the mount Halak, that goes up to Seir, even to Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and struck them, and slew them.

And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;

And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return, and go to your tents, and to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan.

Then they went along through the wilderness, and went around the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of the Arnon, but did not come within the border of Moab: for the Arnon was the border of Moab.
