Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,
And it shall be, that you shall drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.
Though he slays me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain my own ways before him.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.
LORD, in trouble have they sought you; they poured out a prayer when your rebuke was upon them.
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms.
