Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin: but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.
Do you see a man wise in his own sight? there is more hope for a fool than for him.
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Yet you say, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with you, because you say, I have not sinned.
And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and did not prepare himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be humbled; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.
