But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, Send her away; for she is crying out after us.

The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and testing him desired of him that he would show them a sign from heaven.

The Pharisees also came to him, testing him, and saying to him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every reason?

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why do you put me to the test, you hypocrites?

Then one of them, who was a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him, and saying,

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said to him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? testing him.

Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why do you put me to the test? Bring me a penny, that I may see it.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

And the Pharisees came out, and began to question with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, testing him.

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tested him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Neither should we provoke Christ, as some of them also provoked, and were destroyed by serpents.
