When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said to them, Does this offend you?

And blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended at me.

Nevertheless, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: take that, and give it to them for me and you.

Now Jesus knew that they were desiring to ask him, and said to them, Do you inquire among yourselves of what I said, A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me?

He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Do you love me? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep.

But there are some of you that do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe, and who would betray him.

Neither is there any creature that is not clearly visible in his sight: but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches minds and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
