I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

For he shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper.

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

In these lay a great multitude of feeble persons, blind, lame, and paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatever disease he had.

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been now a long time in that condition, he said to him, Do you want to be made whole?

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain it.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and be sorry for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
