Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for whatever things he does, these also does the Son likewise.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb, I am the LORD who makes all things; who stretches out the heavens alone; who spreads abroad the earth by myself;
Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own will. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from my Father.
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak of my own will: but the Father who dwells in me, he does the works.
Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of my own will; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; so that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it is good or bad.
Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself.
For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches minds and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
