Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit.

But he said to them, I have food to eat that you know not of.

I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me.

But I have a greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.

For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

And he who sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

I have shown you all things, how so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
