Listen to me, you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; do not fear the reproach of men, neither be afraid of their reviling.

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD lives, that made for us this soul, I will not put you to death, neither will I give you into the hand of these men that seek your life.

And they sent out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, neither do you care for any man: for you do not regard the person of men.

And greetings in the markets, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

But do not be called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and you are all brothers.

And when they had come, they said to him, Master, we know that you are true, and care for no man: for you do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, What do you seek? They said to him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where are you staying?

But if I do, though you do not believe me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they did not believe in him:

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak of my own will: but the Father who dwells in me, he does the works.

If I had not done among them the works that no other man did, they would not have had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned, and said to him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you bore witness, behold, the same baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.

In the meantime his disciples urged him, saying, Master, eat.

But I have a greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on those who were diseased.

And many of the people believed in him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he does not keep the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went around doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:

And many of the brethren in the Lord, growing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said to him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
