Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if you can tell?

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

He who comes from above is above all: he who is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he who comes from heaven is above all.

For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.

For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that he says, I came down from heaven?

Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God, he has seen the Father.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eats of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

What if you were to see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded and came from God; neither did I come of my own will, but he sent me.

For David did not ascend into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Be careful therefore of yourselves, and of all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which the Lord has purchased with his own blood.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaks in this way, Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it to us, that we may hear it, and do it?
