Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.

I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I found him not.

Where has your beloved gone, O you fairest among women? where has your beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with you.

O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

And the angel answered and said to the women, Fear not: for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified.

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, What do you seek? They said to him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where are you staying?

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon him, went out, and said to them, Whom do you seek?

Then he asked them again, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

And they said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

Do not consider your handmaid as a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken until now.
