And they said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.

Thus says the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD; and they shall come back from the land of the enemy.

And he said to them, What manner of communications are these that you have to one another, as you walk, and are sad?

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said to his mother, Woman, behold your son!

Jesus said to her, Woman, what have I to do with you? My hour has not yet come.

Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.

Then she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we do not know where they have laid him.

Then Paul answered, What are you trying to do, weep and break my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why do you weep? and why do you not eat? and why is your heart grieved? am I not better to you than ten sons?
