And they buried him in his own sepulchers, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and various spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
Then arose Peter, and ran to the sepulcher; and stooping down, he saw the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which had come to pass.
And he that was dead came out, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.
