For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof goes forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns.

Which has come to you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a special people, zealous for good works.

Of how much severer punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has considered the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has despised the Spirit of grace?

For both he that sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one nature: for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh:

Therefore neither was the first covenant dedicated without blood.

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the completion of the age has he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

And every one that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
