Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they will not listen to me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be like his master.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if anyone knew where he was, he should make it known, that they might take him.

Truly, truly, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither is he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.

Truly, truly, I say to you, If a man keeps my saying, he shall never see death.

Then said the Jews to him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keeps my saying, he shall never taste of death.

Then they took up stones to throw at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we bear it:

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God, and are opposed to all men:

Yea, and all who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

And the LORD said to Samuel, Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you: for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
