Let us go up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourishes, whether the tender grape appears, and the pomegranates are in bloom: there will I give you my loves.

In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for those who are escaped of Israel.

Your people also shall all be righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

To appoint for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

Yet I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are you turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine to me?

Your mother is like a vine of your blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches because of many waters.

Israel is an empty vine, he brings forth fruit for himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he has increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made beautiful images.

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your companions that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up.

For the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is the head of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard.

Hear another parable: There was a certain head of a household, who planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and rented it out to farmers, and went into a far country:

And he began to speak to them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge around it, and dug a place for the wine vat, and built a tower, and rented it out to farmers, and went into a far country.

He spoke also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit on it, and found none.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

That was the true Light, which lightens every man that comes into the world.

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purifies it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

And if some of the branches are broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s cultivated field, you are God’s building.

Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.
