Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
But Martha was burdened with much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me.
And Jesus answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things:
Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
Therefore his sisters sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.
Then said the Jews, See how he loved him!
When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he stayed two days more in the same place where he was.
His disciples said to him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone you; and are you going there again?
For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
And I have declared to them thy name, and will declare it: that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
