And he said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, After this you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is my fellow, says the LORD of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand to the little ones.
The Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born.
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and coming upon him:
But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the one sick from paralysis,) Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.
Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father.
Truly, truly, I say to you, That you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
Truly, truly, I say to you, When you were young, you clothed yourself, and walked where you wanted to: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch out your hands, and another shall clothe you, and take you where you do not want to go.
Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for whatever things he does, these also does the Son likewise.
Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, You seek me, not because you saw the miracles, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.
Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up here, and I will show you things which must be in the future.
