And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.
Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
Yes, and why do you not even for yourselves judge what is right?
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
The same came therefore to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and requested of him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will be sufficient for us.
Come, see a man, who told me all things that I ever did: is not this the Christ?
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company coming to him, he said to Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
Philip answered him, Two hundred silver coins worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee arises no prophet.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
