He came to his own, and his own received him not.
But he answered and said, I am not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to those who believe in his name:
Then he said to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
And what he has seen and heard, that he testifies; and no man receives his testimony.
Men and kindred, children of the stock of Abraham, and whoever among you fears God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
And when we had taken our leave of one another, we entered the ship; and they returned home again.
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers:
I say the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth his Son, made from a woman, made under the law,
