Behold, these shall come from afar: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD who repays recompense to his enemies.

Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and those who plunder you shall be a plunder, and all who prey upon you will I give for a prey.

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that labors in childbirth together: a great company shall return from there.

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, to which I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

After many days you shall be visited: in the latter years you shall come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been continually waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Yea, and what have you to do with me, O Tyre, and Sidon, and all the land of Philistia? will you repay to me a recompense? and if you recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompense upon your own head;

When I have bent Judah for myself, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you as the sword of a mighty man.

For with the judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with the measure you use, it shall be measured to you again.

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to repay tribulation to those who trouble you;

For he shall have judgment without mercy that has shown no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.

He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are deserving.

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

And Adonibezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their food under my table: as I have done, so God has repaid me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

And Samuel said, As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women. And Samuel cut Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
