Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.

And prayed unto him: and he answered him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

If I be wicked, woe to me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore you see my affliction;

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; show me why you contend with me.

You shall make your prayer unto him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.

There the righteous might reason with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.

Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

I would seek for God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

If you would seek for God early, and make your supplication to the Almighty;

If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had listened to my voice.

If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, in which they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

O my God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercies.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judges me is the Lord.

Who, when he was insulted, did not insult in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but committed himself to him that judges righteously:
