Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

Let me not, I pray you, favor any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles to man.

For I know that I should not give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue has spoken in my mouth.

Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident to you if I lie.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish does not do so.

There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

For I give you good instruction; do not forsake my law.
