Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

For your mouth tells your iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

Is not your wickedness great? and are not your iniquities infinite?

As God lives, who has taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who has troubled my soul;

God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove my integrity from me.

My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me as long as I live.

You have become cruel to me: with your strong hand you oppose yourself against me.

Also against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

Surely you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of your words, saying,

Do you think this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God’s?

Will you also make void my judgment? will you condemn me, that you may be righteous?

For the zeal of your house has consumed me; and the reproaches of those who reproached you have fallen upon me.

And when he had looked all around at them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole like the other.

But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your anger:
