And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem like stones, and cedars made he to be like the sycamore trees that are in the valley, for abundance.

For God gives to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he gives toil, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him who increases that which is not his! how long? and to him who loads himself with thick clay!

Howl, you inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all those who carry silver are cut off.

And Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
