Then said Joab, I can not stay here thus with you. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.

And ten young men that carried Joab’s armor surrounded and struck Absalom, and slew him.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s anger pacified.

For you say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he has prospered, when God takes away his soul?

So that the hypocrite should not reign, lest the people be ensnared.

I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

Behold, such is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

But let everyone test his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
