Are your days as the days of man? are your years as man’s days,

That you inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?

Behold, God is great, and we do not know him, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

But you, O LORD, shall endure for ever; and your remembrance to all generations.

The children of your servants shall continue, and their descendents shall be established before you.

And as a robe shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

But, beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
