And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth.

And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made themselves molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he built up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

And he put away the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

If a man begets a hundred children, and lives many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he has no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Then shall you say to them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

They shall die terrible deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the birds of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled like the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

He shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, dragged and thrown out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

Therefore thus says the LORD concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be thrown out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O you women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.

For death has come up into our windows, and has entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from outside, and the young men from the streets.

Speak, Thus says the LORD, Even the carcasses of men shall fall like dung upon the open field, and like the handful of grain after the reaper, and none shall gather them.

And I will leave you thrown into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers: you shall fall upon the open fields; you shall not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the birds of the heaven.

You shall fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.

And I will lay the dead carcasses of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty five men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshiped the sun toward the east.

And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

And those who worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and those who worship and swear by the LORD, and swear by Malcham;

Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have you offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?

And has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all nations under the whole heaven.
