The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they have come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.

Can you make him afraid like a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;

And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fortified cities, in which you trusted, with the sword.

They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in formation, like a man to the battle, against you, O daughter of Babylon.

And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in formation as men for war against you, O daughter of Zion.

The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the prancing horses, and of the jumping chariots.

The mountains saw you, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered its voice, and lifted up its hands on high.

For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.

But if anyone says to you, This is offered in sacrifice to idols, abstain from eating for the sake of him that mentioned it, and for conscience’ sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof:

And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel: however the name of the city was Laish at the first.

Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh.

Then were the horse hoofs broken by means of the prancings, the prancings of their mighty ones.
