Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroys all the earth: and I will stretch out my hand upon you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.

And they said, Come now, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach to heaven; and let us make us a name, so that we will not be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me: you shall stretch out your hand against the anger of my enemies, and your right hand shall save me.

Lift up a banner upon the high mountain, raise the voice to them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the LORD, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will completely destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

The LORD has opened his armory, and has brought out the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

Behold, I am against you, O you most proud, says the Lord GOD of hosts: for your day has come, the time that I will visit you.

Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come to her, says the LORD.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be completely broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the community in the fire, and they shall be weary.

Babylon has been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunk: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?

Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the crowning stone thereof with shouting, crying, Grace, grace to it.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a loud noise, and the elements shall melt with intense heat, the earth also and the works that are upon it shall be burned up.

And the second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown down into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
