Declare ye among the nations, and annuonce, and set up a standard; announce, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is astonished, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are put to shame, her images are broken in pieces.

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider his doing.

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Let all those who serve sculptured images be put to shame, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all you gods.

And in that day shall you say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his deeds among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Lift up a banner upon the high mountain, raise the voice to them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

And, behold, here comes a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the sculptured images of her gods he has broken to the ground.

And have thrown their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

At that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and had recovered.

Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: the things you carried were heavily loaded; they are a burden to the weary beast.

Go out from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, proclaim it even to the end of the earth; say, The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob.

You have heard, see all this; and will you not declare it? I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them.

Thus shall you say to them, The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.

Make mention to the nations; behold, announce against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and speak out their voice against the cities of Judah.

Set up the standard toward Zion: flee, do not delay: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

Declare in Egypt, and announce in Migdol, and announce in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say, Stand fast, and prepare; for the sword shall devour round about you.

At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD has both devised and done that which he spoke against the inhabitants of Babylon.

Set up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up like the rough caterpillers.

One runner shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to tell the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up: and the nations shall not assemble any more to him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

Therefore, behold, the days are coming that I will execute judgment upon the sculptured images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be astonished, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will execute judgment upon her sculptured images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if perhaps she may be healed.

And it came to pass in the thirty seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty fifth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,

Therefore hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said to them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do you not serve my gods, or worship the golden image which I have set up?

The LORD will be terrible to them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the lands of the heathen beyond the sea.

And he cried out mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
