Why have I seen them dismayed and turned away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and have fled quickly, and look not back: for fear was round about, says the LORD.

Damascus has become feeble, and turns herself to flee, and fear has seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, like a woman in birth labor.

Behold, I will bring terror upon you, says the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that are around you; and you shall be driven out every man straight ahead; and none shall gather up him that wanders.

Do not go out into the field, nor walk in the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear are on every side.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand seven hundred shekels of gold; besides ornaments, and pendants, and purple clothing that was on the kings of Midian, and besides the chains that were around their camels’ necks.
