I know his anger, says the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not accomplish his plans.

The LORD brings the counsel of the heathen to nothing: he makes the purposes of the people of none effect.

For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his anger: but his lies shall not be established.

A sword is upon the liars; and they shall be fools: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
