Who is this that comes out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?

Who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree: there your mother brought you forth: there she brought you forth that bore you.

Who is this coming from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? one who is glorious in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Thus says the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those who dwell in it: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.

Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him, You are like a young lion of the nations, and you are as a whale in the seas: and you came forth with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.

But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflowed from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

And after sixty two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined.

Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn who dwells in it? and all of it shall rise up like a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

And the serpent poured out of his mouth water like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.
