Even today is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Deep calls to deep at the noise of your pouring waters: all your waves and your billows have gone over me.

I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

My eye is consumed because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried up: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to you, O Baruch;

When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.

Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

From above has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them: he has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: he has made me desolate and faint all the day.

Let all their wickedness come before you, and do to them as you have done to me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

But though he causes grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Therefore seeing that we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint;

For which reason we do not faint; but though our outward man is perishing, yet the inner man is being renewed day by day.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for when the time is right we shall reap, if we do not faint.

But you, brethren, do not be weary in well doing.
