But these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon you in their perfection for the multitude of your sorceries, and for the great abundance of your enchantments.

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations: spare not, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes;

They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourns unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man takes it to heart.

Let them be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame: let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

For thus has the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Set up the standard toward Zion: flee, do not delay: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.

Fear and a snare have come upon us, desolation and destruction.

For thus says the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four severe judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the hurtful beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

Dreadful is the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

And if you will not yet for all this listen to me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

And if you walk contrary to me, and will not listen to me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

Then will I also walk contrary to you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

Then I will walk contrary to you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

Get up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
