Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon gave instruction concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,

But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.

He shall deliver you in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch you.

Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.

The LORD said, Truly it shall be well with your remnant; truly I will cause the enemy to treat you well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

And I will make you to this people a fortified brass wall: and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD.

And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.

But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, listened to the words of the LORD, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were taken away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were taken away captive to Babylon.

And now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains which were upon your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well to you: but if it seems ill to you to come with me into Babylon, do not: behold, all the land is before you: where it seems good and convenient for you to go, go there.

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, who served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintances to minister or come to him.
