And afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and those that are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life: and he shall strike them down with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

And I will give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of those whose face you fear, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD lives, that made for us this soul, I will not put you to death, neither will I give you into the hand of these men that seek your life.

Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.

And when you are laid waste, what will you do? Though you clothe yourself with crimson, though you deck yourself with ornaments of gold, though you tear your face with painting, in vain shall you make yourself fair; your lovers will despise you, they will seek your life.

Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of those who seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and who sought his life.

For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before those who seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, says the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

And the carcasses of this people shall be food for the birds of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of those whom you hate, into the hand of those from whom your mind is estranged:

And I will leave you thrown into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers: you shall fall upon the open fields; you shall not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the birds of the heaven.

Then will I leave you upon the land, I will throw you out upon the open field, and will cause all the birds of the heaven to remain upon you, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with you.

And your carcass shall be food to all birds of the air, and to the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away.

And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

This day will the LORD deliver you into my hand; and I will strike you, and take your head from you; and I will give the carcasses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
