As for those that turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he has ceased to be wise, and to do good.

But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and did not listen to them; as the LORD had said.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Appeal to the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice to the LORD.

As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should be served by them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.

Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

But you turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom you had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be to you servants and handmaids.

And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which is gone up from you.

Then Pharaoh’s army came forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.

O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? for your goodness is like a morning cloud, and like the early dew it goes away.

They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

And those who are turned back from the LORD; and those who have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for him.

For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away well? therefore may the LORD reward you good for what you have done to me this day.

Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do you harm, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
