But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another: for truly I say to you, You shall not have gone through all the cities of Israel, till the Son of man has come.

And do not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

He who finds his life shall lose it: and he who loses his life for my sake shall find it.

And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they considered him to be a prophet.

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
