And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the birds of the air; for it grieves me that I have made them.

Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be completely desolate,

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and a food offering, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

They shall die terrible deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the birds of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

Behold the siege mounds, they have come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what you have spoken has come to pass; and, behold, you see it.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

Therefore thus says the LORD; You have not listened to me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, says the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus says the LORD; You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from there man and beast?

Now therefore know certainly that you shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place to which you desire to go and to sojourn.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, my anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen to which they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Son of man, when the land sins against me by trespassing greatly, then will I stretch out my hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

For thus says the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four severe judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the hurtful beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

Say thou thus to them, Thus says the Lord GOD; As I live, surely those who are in the desolate places shall fall by the sword, and he who is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land quite desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.

The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one who dwells therein shall grow feeble, with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of heaven; yea, the fish of the sea also shall be taken away.

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the house like the high places of the forest.

I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heaven, and the fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man off of the land, says the LORD.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
